The walker (walkerexhaust.com) website states that a 49 state cat can be used on cars in calif that are over 5 years old AND the oem warranty has expired.

Is this true, can i use a 49 state cat on a 2006 Infiniti g35, de 3.5, evap family 6NSXR0120MBA?

      Hi Wade,

Not true. Must use a CARB approved catalytic converter. The aftermarket converter must match: Year, Make, Model, Engine Size, Engine Family Number (EVAP Family number isn’t relevant), and finally exact location. For example, some vehicles are equipped with multiple catalytic converters (front and rear / passenger and driver side). Converter location based on part number may or may not be interchangeable. Please check the below link prior to buying or installing a new aftermarket catalytic converter.
